The new CLEAN belly diet is here and so are some new recipes like this great Baked Apple Treat. Whether we are doing a cleanse or basic MCC it is sometimes nice to have something sweet, like an apple pie BUT without the carbohydrates and sugar craving associated with the apple pie. Try this delicious baked apple treat that we are sure everyone in the family will love.
What you need:
- 1 Apple of your choice
- 1 tbsp crushed walnuts
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp coconut oil or ghee
- 1 tbsp GF oats or coconut flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
What to do:
Pre heat oven to 350.
Cut apple in half and remove the center with the seeds.
In a separate bowl combine walnuts, vanilla, oats, coconut oil, and cinnamon.
Fill the 2 halves of the apple.
Sprinkle with a bit a extra cinnamon (optional)
Place on parchment-lined baking sheet and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
